"Fruppum, Alabama" Returns to Jersey Voices

The Fruppum, Alabama Chamber of Commerce by John Dowgin is having a revival at the 2014 Jersey Voices festival, celebrating their 20th anniversary with their "greatest hits". Performances will be July 25th & August 1st.Fruppum tells the story of two enterprising gentlemen running rival gas stations on a country road in Fruppum, Alabama.  In a place that time seems to have forgotten, one of the men has some surprising business plans to stay afloat.The production originally appeared in The Porch Room's Burt Reynolds' Amazing Napalm-Powered Oven.  It's been revived several times since, including our own Evening on the Porch, as well as Jersey Voices and the Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival.More information on this new production can be found on the Chatham Community Players website.
